Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

What You Will Do:
- Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis
- Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology
- Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing
- Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in the area of Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field by Summer 2026
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
