Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Recruiter in Virginia Beach, VA.
- This role will support and enhance the company's Talent Acquisition program across national and international markets. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume government contracting environment supporting Defense, State, Federal, and NATO clients.
- The Recruiter will serve as both a client-facing and candidate-facing partner, requiring a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Schedule flexibility is required to support recruiting events, candidates in alternate time zones, and occasional extended work hours.
- This position currently supports a level of hybrid work.
Job Description
- Manage full lifecycle recruiting, including requisition creation and approval, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection support, offer coordination, onboarding support, and documentation/reporting.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies in partnership with hiring managers and business development leaders to attract and retain qualified candidates while building sustainable talent pipelines.
- Provide guidance and training to hiring managers on recruiting processes and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) usage.
- Mentor and support recruiting team members while providing status updates to senior HR leadership.
- Monitor and manage requisitions to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effective candidate engagement.
- Conduct market research and develop sourcing strategies to meet workforce demands.
- Lead OFCCP, EEO/Affirmative Action, and federal contractor compliance efforts.
- Coordinate and participate in recruiting events, including job fairs, campus outreach, and networking events.
- Serve as primary point of contact for workforce development partners, including state agencies and Veteran/Disability/Female/Minority advocacy organizations.
- Support cross-functional HR initiatives including labor classification, compensation alignment, workforce development, audit readiness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of successful recruitment experience; or 4+ years of professional recruitment/talent acquisition experience.
- Must have experience supporting full lifecycle recruitment in a government contracting environment.
- Must be proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Must have experience leading recruitment-related projects (e.g., ATS implementation, outreach strategy development).
- Must have working knowledge of EEO/Affirmative Action and federal contractor compliance requirements, including FLSA and ADA.
- Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
Desired Qualifications:
- Military experience or experience developing/supporting military and Veteran recruitment strategies, preferred.

Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel (up to 15%), primarily within the Hampton Roads area.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials (e.g., REAL ID) if travel to federal facilities or military bases is required.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based work with occasional visits to industrial or shipboard environments.
- Ability to lift and carry light boxes or supplies as needed.
