Overview:
Support tasks involving engineering development, integration, interface design analysis, installation, fielding, operation, maintenance, and testing of hardware and software. Perform system-level design and configuration of network systems, including hardware, operating system, and platform specifications to meet project requirements while ensuring interoperability with existing sponsor networks. Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Troubleshoot unique or complex problems and deliver scalable solutions.
Other Job Specific Skills:
• Expert in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
• Maintains an up-to-date technical and practical knowledge and understanding of system testing and analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of networking hardware, software, standards, best practices, and industry trends.
• Excellent technical knowledge of network, security and storage infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years as a Network Engineer
• 5+ years with Wide Area Networks (WAN)
• Expertise in WAN architecture using Cisco ISR/ASR routers
• VMware/vSphere administration experience
• Layer 3 networking, tunneling, and Layer 2 VLAN maintenance
• Knowledge of BGP and OSPF protocols
• Familiarity with RHEL OS or Linux distributions
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience supporting National Cyber missions or the Intelligence Community
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification
