Systems Administrator (Systems Administrator – Journeyman)
Location: Tampa, FL (Downtown at a secure facility)
Clearance: TS/SCI
Education: BA/BS + 5 years of work experience (or MA/MS with 3 years experience; AA/AS with 9 years of work-related experience)

Supported Organization:
The Secretary of the Air Force, Office of Competition (SAF/OC) Concepts, Development and Management Office (SAF/CDM) Concept Portfolio Office (CPO) is a research and development (R&D) driven technology and development and operational support activity under the cognizance of the United States Air Force (USAF).

The CPO mission is to provide the Air Force and Department of War (DoW) organizations with program management, financial management, contracting, and other support needed to rapidly explore concepts, assess technologies, and advance innovative concepts and projects to acquisition and warfighting partners. 

The CPO’s Vision is to be DoW's premier agile partner for concept development and mission acceleration, providing innovative solutions to increase lethality and deliver technological advantage needed to win the Nation’s wars.

Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator will provide IT systems administration support the Secretary of the Air Force - Concepts, Development, and Management Office (SAF/CDM).

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Support classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software along with stand-alone systems, laptops, and various peripheral devices with analysis, design, and engineering support for expanding and/or upgrading capabilities/equipment.
· Support the Gemini IT Team Lead in execution of all tasks and requests for data, demonstrate unity of effort in support of the client, and fill in for the Gemini IT Team Lead on occasion.
· Provide assistance in account management services.
· Provide support for IT software (all software will be Government provided):
· Install and maintain software upgrades/modifications.
· Install/test/maintain new software procedures by IT systems.
· Conduct tests of all new releases and modifications and complete/update all documentation affected by required changes.
· Ensure upgrades/modifications of IT software are stable and backup is maintained.
· Perform computer/network hardware troubleshooting; and, when appropriate and economically feasible, perform computer/network hardware repairs.

Provide technical support for IT systems:
· Control and manage IT connections in accordance with Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and other Government guidelines.
· Coordinate the resolution of problems.
· Control, manage, and troubleshoot IT systems and conduct logical operating system fault monitoring.
· Backup/restore IT systems and perform reconfiguration and diagnostics/remedial action and ensure end-to-end physical connectivity.
· Provide management of current physical configurations of IT systems.
· Maintain IT systems operations.
· Monitor applications/system software and hardware operations.
· Conduct routine high-priority systems problem identification and high-priority corrective actions.
· Provide telecommunications support required to provide interface between internal and external IT systems.
· Interface with the Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), Defense Messaging System, and other networks, as required.
· Provide telecommunications support in accordance with all applicable Government security guidelines.
· Assist the Government IT Office by providing engineering, technical, and management consultant support for CDM requirements.
· Provide expertise in support of Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and ISSO roles for classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software applications.
· Execute the CDM Configuration Management (CM) program.
· Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of CDM IT systems and changes.
· Evaluate/identify CM programs/items.
· Maintain status accounting records and reports.
· Participate in system configuration development and maintenance review.

Qualifications:
The candidate must have the following qualifications:

· Minimum of five (5) years of work-related experience conducting IT systems administration supporting classified and unclassified system environments.
· Minimum four (4) years of work-related experience supporting a DoD component conducting IT engineering focused on operations and maintenance of HW, SW, and communications support systems.
· Proficient in supporting all network enclaves, including secure, isolated, and classified environments, ensuring compliance with security protocols while providing comprehensive desktop and systems support.
· Demonstrated the ability to interface with the Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), Defense Messaging System, and other networks, as required.
· Willing and able to perform physical, hands-on troubleshooting tasks, including getting under desks to access cabling, hardware connections, peripherals, and equipment for in-person diagnostics and repairs.
· Experienced in direct face-to-face customer interaction and on-site desktop support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues in person, coordinating resolutions, and managing ticketing systems; limited to computer-based work primarily for documentation, ticketing, and scheduling rather than remote-only assistance.
· Skilled in coordinating user accounts, including provisioning, modifications, deactivations, password resets, and access management across systems to maintain security and operational efficiency.
· Responsible for lifecycle management of IT assets, including planning and executing hardware replacement cycles, device imaging, configuration, deployment, and end-of-life processing to ensure up-to-date and secure equipment standards
· IAT Level II certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M. (CompTIA Security+ CE)
· Good verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate systems engineering and IT information to customers in easy to understand terms.
· Good customer service skills.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
