Five Rivers Analytics is looking for a Network Team Lead to work in Boston, MA. The Network Team Lead will possess comprehensive knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in installing, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, systems, and associated components to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network operations in support of mission-critical environments.

In addition to technical expertise, the Team Lead will provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Network Operations personnel, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to cybersecurity and compliance standards, and timely resolution of incidents and service requests.

The Team Lead will coordinate tasking, manage priorities, mentor team members, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex network issues. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders, and senior leadership to align network operations with organizational objectives, maintain system availability, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute network operations strategies and technical roadmaps aligned with organizational goals, mission requirements, and cybersecurity mandates.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight of the Networking Team, including Network Administrators (Switching) and Network Cabling Technicians (LAN), ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional development.
  • Lead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of network infrastructure initiatives to enhance performance, resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous process improvement within the Network Operations team.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless systems, and cloud networking components.
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, scalability, and security of network systems supporting mission-critical and business operations.
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), configuration standards, and security controls in alignment with NETCOM policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security posture; proactively identify and mitigate risks to prevent service disruptions and operational impacts.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex network incidents; lead response coordination with company leadership and site customers to ensure timely resolution and minimal operational impact.
  • Collaborate with and brief senior leadership, system owners, and key stakeholders to translate operational requirements into effective, secure, and scalable network solutions.
  • Communicate network initiatives, performance metrics, outage reports, and continuous improvement efforts to stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum five (5) years of proven work experience in network operations.
  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure components and protocols.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Current, unexpired DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II-equivalent certification (at least ONE of the following):
    • COMPTIA Security+ CE (SY0-701).
    • COMPTIA NET +.
    • COMPTIA A+.
    • SSCP (ISC²).
  • Current, unexpired Computing Environment certification (at least ONE of the following):
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
