Saalex is seeking a Drafter/CAD Operator I in Ridgecrest, CA. Essential Functions:
Under close supervision, a Drafter I provides detailed drawings of simple routine printed circuit boards, schematics,
and logic diagrams using various software and/or manual processes. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
- Prepare multiple-view mechanical detail and assembly drawings indicating dimensions and tolerances, fasteners, and joining requirements from layouts, sketches, and/or verbal instructions from senior drafting personnel
- Redraw existing drawings and assign drawing numbers/cross-index as specified or directed
- Ensure all work conforms to DoD MIL-STD-100 and company drafting standards
- Output drawings in various formats from electronic files of various types
- Research files and catalogs for information required to complete the project
- Create/edit charts, images, and presentation materials
- Maintain files and backup disks
- Perform other job-related duties, as required
Requirements
Required:
- A minimum of one year of experience, preferably in the high technology industry with an emphasis on electromechanical drawing is required for this position.
- Competence in the use of a minimum of one computer-aided design (CAD) software program as appropriate to specific assignments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Planning/organizational skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
Desired:
- Enrollment in or a graduate certificate from a two-to four-year technical institute or equivalent training is preferred.
Education:
