The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) operations. The PM applies industry-recognized project management methodologies, including Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Project Management Professional (PMP) standards, and/or Agile frameworks, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission priorities.
The PM provides full life-cycle project management support, ensuring integration of people, processes, and technology to enhance organizational performance and enable decision superiority across the SOF enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Lifecycle Management
Manage the full lifecycle of organizational projects from initiation through closeout.
Oversee project demand intake, work prioritization, and resource scheduling.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Ensure alignment of projects with SOF EKM strategic objectives and mission requirements.
Manage solution development and product delivery to meet operational needs.
Governance and Controls
Develop and implement project management controls to ensure successful execution.
Conduct recurring project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and status briefings.
Create and maintain project charters, schedules, task lists, risk registers, and communication plans.
Track and manage scope, schedule, cost, and performance metrics.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Conduct post-project reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Process Standardization and Knowledge Management
Develop and maintain a repository of standardized project templates and artifacts.
Promote continuity, reusability, and reproducibility of Government business processes.
Ensure project documentation complies with DoD, USSOCOM, and contractual requirements.
Support audits, system registration, certification, and accreditation documentation as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master).
Project management experience supporting DoD or Federal programs.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of PMBOK principles and/or Agile methodologies.
Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar).
