Job Description -
Client is seeking a highly motivated and proficient Cybersecurity Engineer to onsite programs located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The daily tempo requires a strong understanding of security principles and how they apply to embedded software development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected Cybersecurity Engineering candidate will be abreast of DevSecOps/Software assurance principles. We are looking for a candidate with expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) and experience Implementing CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.

QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems development with a focus on cybersecurity engineering
Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO), and their application in embedded environments
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and secure software assurance methodologies
• Proven proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for project tracking, build/release management, and pipeline automation
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines tailored to embedded systems
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN
Certifications:
• CompTIa Security+ or CISSP
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Certified Embedded Systems Engineer (CESE)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in Engineering or related Technical field (IT, Cybersecurity, Systems, or Software Engineering preferred) and 5 years of experience or a Master's and 3 years of experience.
CLEARANCE: Candidate must have an Interim DoD Secret prior to start employment with the ability to obtain and maintain full DoDSecretClearance.US Citizenship required.
REQUIRED KSAs:
The candidate would ideally have the following:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a DevSecOps role, with a strong focus on embedded software
• Expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) and experience Implementing CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and practices.
• Strong understanding of security principles and how they apply to embedded software development.
• Experience with code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and security testing tools.
• Knowledge of common software vulnerabilities and the ability to mitigate them
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance as it relates to the DevSecOps methodologies.
• Bonus would be RMF and cyber systems experience, specifically with MBSE tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct research into issues and products.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language and visuals.
