The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Alarms Design Specialist to join the team in Seal Beach, CA.

The ideal candidate will be able to work within a complex and fast paced environment designing, installing and maintaining physical security intrusion detection and alarm systems. This individual must have AutoCAD, project management, and communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Intake and process security system design requirements from customer programs
  • Utilize AutoCAD to design security systems to meet customer requirements
  • Incorporate feedback and updates into final AutoCAD designs and issue copies to customers and for data entry into MASterMind and other systems
  • Monitor completion of monthly Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI's) completed by the alarm service team
  • Respond to service calls and assign tasks to the alarm service team
  • Support projects that may require design, material orders, project oversight, and work orders released to the alarm service team
  • Maintain soft and hard copies of alarm configuration drawings and design files
  • Monitor status of multiple complex projects
  • Coordinate with Boeing focals and subcontracted suppliers in support of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Classified Access Management Systems (CAMS)


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design
  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
  • 1+ years of experience with managing/troubleshooting fire alarm systems in a corporate environment
  • 1+ years of experience using AutoCAD


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Government construction requirements including ICD 705
  • Experience with construction processes
  • Experience creating a parts list and material ordering
  • Experience working independently and within a teaming environment
  • Experience with effective time and workload management
  • Experience communicating with management at all levels

Summary pay range: $119,000 - $161,000
