Architect, integrate, and sustain next-generation deep-space radar systems - where software architecture, systems engineering discipline, and operational precision directly impact global mission readiness. This is a high-visibility role supporting complex radar capabilities across CONUS and OCONUS environments.
A Day in the Life - What you'll do
- Lead the architectural deployment and configuration strategy for DARC software across mission-critical radar systems
- Serve as the software architecture and integration authority during system integration, verification, validation, and operational deployments
- Analyze system-level software behavior in live operational environments to identify root causes, define corrective actions, and resolve deficiencies
- Define interface contracts, integration requirements, and architectural constraints for current and future software releases in collaboration with distributed development teams
- Develop and maintain system specifications, architectural artifacts, and operational documentation to ensure long-term traceability and mission stability
Required Qualifications
Citizenship & Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience
OR
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
OR
- PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Experience defining, reviewing, and governing software architectures implemented in C++, Java, and JavaScript environments
- Understanding of UI/UX architectural patterns and system-level integration of React.js-based interfaces
- Strong ability to analyze complex, distributed software systems and resolve architectural, configuration, and integration issues
- Experience designing and supporting containerized architectures using Kubernetes or Docker
- Virtualization architecture experience (VMware, vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Experience integrating or supporting analytical tools such as MATLAB within larger system workflows
- Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems from a configuration and integration perspective
- Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA and Confluence, with emphasis on requirements tracking, documentation, and cross-team coordination
Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining or supporting architectures involving Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- Experience supporting Radar Signal Processing systems at the architectural or software integration level
- Prior OCONUS deployment experience supporting large, integrated operational teams
- Experience supporting system integration, verification, validation, and operational readiness in mission-critical environments
