Position: Computer Network Architect (Data Center)
Clearance: Top Secret (with SCI eligibility)
Job Description:
The Computer Network Architect (Data Center) shall work within a larger Network and Systems operations group to support customer networks and devices. They will be responsible to:
a. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network systems, hardware, and software applications, including, but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, data center technologies, routing protocols, and network appliances. Perform implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure compliance of network components. Evaluate and respond to network incidents and perform corrective actions. Support approved change management processes.
b. Implement and managing data center technologies, including network, compute, storage, automation, and security. Understanding Cisco's approach to data center solutions, including Nexus, UCS, ACI, and Fibre Channel.
c. Review security information and event management (SEIM) tools to discover and resolve network events. Implement and manage security protocols and policies within enterprise networks. Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations or corrective actions.
d. Working with DoD teams to support project objectives. Contribute to the execution of project or task plan and helps assess and resolve events and issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in Cisco networks; including design, configuring, installing enterprise network devices and working in a data center environment. KSAs include:
• Experience working with Windows, Unix, and other server administrators to design, address requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes in a data center environment.
• Proficiency in advanced EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols, as well as switching technologies. Understanding and implementing SDN technologies like SD-Access and SD-WAN. Planning, designing, and implementing both local and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Knowledge and proficiency to work with:
o Hardware: Network switches (CISCO Nexus series 7000/9000 and Cisco Catalyst series); Cisco routers (CISCO 4551, 8500).
o Software: Solar Winds, Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center (aka DNA), Splunk.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline AND 4 years of experience as described above; OR seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Certifications:
• Active Security + CE or higher
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification with Enterprise Core or Data Center specialty
