Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support a client in the aerospace industry. This role focuses on mechanical analysis, CAD design, and testing of complex structural and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, and testing of complex materials, structural components, and functional systems
Use advanced engineering and CAD tools, preferably Siemens NX
Apply GD&T principles to develop and refine designs
Adapt and improve heritage designs using sound engineering judgment
Support design, development, analysis, and test activities across assigned projects
Develop and execute test programs; manage test activities and test article fabrication
Document and present analysis, test results, and project status to internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
8–10 years of recent mechanical design engineering experience in an aerospace environment
Hands-on mechanical integration experience
Proficiency with Siemens NX
Strong working knowledge of GD&T
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline
Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance or higher
Compensation: $57-75/hour (depending on years of experience)
