Basic Requirements:
- 12 years of applicable professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 4 additional years of applicable professional experience may be substituted for a degree
- One of these certs: CISSP, CASP+ CE, CISA, CCNP Security, CCNA, GCED, GCIH, CCSP
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.
- Resolve network issues.
- Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting.
- Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures
Required Experience:
- Proficient with Linux. Linux system administration experience is a plus.
- Security+ certification.
Desired Experience:
- Should have working knowledge, able to use and or support, with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools.
- Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Linux servers
- Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
- Ansible or SALT scripts
