Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and execute tasks based on complex shipboard electrical drawings and technical manuals.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard electrical systems in accordance with NAVSEA standards and SRC project requirements.
- Work autonomously to complete assigned work packages, ensuring all tasks meet rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with SRC leadership and on-site project managers to ensure seamless integration with the existing team.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions-oriented feedback to supervisors when obstacles arise.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Marine Electrician, specifically within a naval shipyard environment (CVN experience highly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision.
- Expert proficiency in reading and interpreting shipboard electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Prior experience supporting SRC or similar high-impact naval maintenance programs is a significant plus.
- Must be able to pass necessary background checks for shipyard access.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust.
- Must possess a strong commitment to maritime safety protocols.
- Willingness to work temporary surge hours as required by the CVN-74 project schedule.
Desired Qualification:
- Secret clearance or higher is an asset.
