Position Title: Radar Engineer

Waypoint's client is seeking a highly qualified Radar Engineer to support Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) production and the advancement of non-literal Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) analytical processes and techniques. This role supports advanced remote sensing exploitation through detailed technical data analysis and the development of innovative techniques and procedures for the Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed data. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with engineers, scientists, and analysts to address complex exploitation challenges using physics-based and engineering-driven analytical approaches.

Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed radar data and produce GEOINT products
- Provide technical leadership to teams performing exploitation and process development
- Analyze and develop processes to support exploitation of unique, anomalous, and difficult datasets using engineering principles and physics-based analysis
- Develop and refine algorithms supporting complex radar and remote sensing data exploitation processes
- Contribute to improvement of PED workflows and advanced analytical methodologies
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex exploitation issues
Required
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Remote Sensing, or related technical field
- Experience processing and analyzing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data
- Understanding of EO/IR/RF signatures, Automatic Target Recognition (ATR), and Machine Learning (ML) methods applied to remote sensing
- Experience as a GEOINT Analyst within the Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD OR minimum of 7 years providing subject matter expertise to DoD GEOINT programs
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired
- Experience interpreting image-based intelligence data
- Experience processing and analyzing Radar Cross Section (RCS) and radar signature data
- Experience supporting non-literal SAR GEOINT applications
- Familiarity with Xpatch software
- Coding/scripting experience in MATLAB, Python, R, and/or IDL
- Understanding of advanced signal processing techniques
- Experience producing formal intelligence reports
