Position Overview
We are seeking a TS/SCI cleared AI/ML Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Computer Vision, Vision Language Models (VLMs), and AWS cloud services to support a mission-critical Intelligence Community program.
This role focuses on building and evaluating vision-language model frameworks used to assess computer vision outputs from large-scale imagery datasets in a classified environment.
The engineer will collaborate with model development teams to design evaluation pipelines, prompt engineering strategies, and scalable data processing systems for high-volume geospatial imagery.
This role involves large-scale imagery analysis, AI model validation, and secure cloud-based data engineering pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
AI/ML Model Evaluation
Implement evaluation frameworks for Vision Language Models (VLMs) used to assess computer vision model outputs
Develop and test prompt engineering and few-shot learning strategies to optimize model performance
Create confusion matrix analyses and performance metrics to validate model accuracy against ground truth datasets
Support iterative testing and optimization of prompts, examples, and model configurations
Computer Vision & Image Processing
Develop systems to extract localized regions from large-format imagery (NITF, PNG) based on model detections
Implement configurable buffer zones and metadata retention for localization outputs
Handle edge cases such as overlapping detections and multi-scale object recognition
Process imagery datasets ranging from hundreds of MB to multiple GB
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
Coordinate with model development teams to access and analyze classified ground truth datasets
Implement AWS-based data workflows using services such as S3, IAM, EC2, SageMaker, and Lambda
Build ETL pipelines to process, transform, and manage large volumes of imagery and metadata
Ensure data integrity, format standardization, and traceability across processing pipelines
