Bac kground Information: This full-time, onsite position supports the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. ATR is the Navy's East Coast open-air test range and provides real-time test and evaluation (T&E) services including data acquisition, instrumentation, data analysis, recording, test management, and airspace management to DoD and commercial customers in support of real-time aircraft and weapon system testing and fleet training exercises. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate electronic components of test and training range instrumentation systems, data processing systems, communications systems, and display systems.
- Hardware design and selection related to digital receivers and timing boards, waveform generation, digital signal distribution, data acquisition, system time distribution, and system fiber architecture.
- Software design related to digital receiver control, data acquisition, and waveform generation.
- Responsible for adapting system configuration to meet customer timing and waveform requirements.

Education, Certifications, License, and Skill Requirements:
- BS Degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering having at least one professional engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Knowledge of RF and technical troubleshooting and/or problem-solving skills desired.
- Must be a self-starter and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be flexible and team oriented.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass drug screening.
Security Clearance:
- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
- Employment and start date contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
