SUMMARY & OVERVIEW:
Insight Global is seeking Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineers in Chandler, AZ (There are openings for both Mid-Level and Senior-Level Engineers). Our client provides innovative solutions for national security, commercial aerospace, and space exploration. As an Engineer in the Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) team, you will be responsible for designing and developing guidance algorithms, simulations, modeling and systems for missile guidance related projects, in support of the GPI (Glide Phase Interceptor) program. You will work closely with and mentor other GNC engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the guidance systems meet performance specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop mission-critical software and simulation tools for missile flight systems.
• Implement and integrate autopilot and guidance algorithms into flight control software.
• Apply trajectory optimization tools to analyze and validate flight paths.
• Develop, enhance and maintain scripts, models and simulations (C++, Python, MATLAB, Simulink) to meet customer requirements and assess system performance.
• Build and sustain high-fidelity modeling and simulation frameworks for aerospace platforms.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of models to ensure alignment with real-world performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 2-7+ years of experience in guidance, navigation and control systems (GNC) for aerospace and missile guidance related projects.
• Strong knowledge of guidance principles and systems, including missile guidance algorithms, navigation, target tracking and flight test programs.
• Experience with Autopilot and 6-DOF / 3-DOF simulations.
• Experience designing and testing guidance algorithms and Autopilot parameters for guided missiles and/or interceptors.
• Experience with C++, MATLAB, Python and Simulink.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in any STEM related field.
PLUSSES (Not Required):
• Experience working with GNC algorithms for hypersonic missiles.
• Experience with IR discrimination and tracking
• Experience with linear and navigation algorithms (Kalman Filters, GPS, Sensor Fusion, etc.).
• Experience with predictive intercept points (PIP) algorithms.
Compensation:
$60.00/hr - $95.00/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
