Job Title: Signal Processing / Data Analysis Engineer
We are seeking a highly capable engineer to support advanced analytic and algorithm development efforts within a mission-focused research environment. The work will directly support a government laboratory at Fort Belvoir, involving complex, real-world datasets and the exploration, development, and evaluation of signal processing and data analysis techniques that produce operationally relevant insight. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
Key Requirements:
• Strong foundation in signal processing and algorithm development
• Experience with radar systems or radar waveforms preferred; candidates with strong backgrounds in communications theory, waveform-centric analysis, signal propagation, or signal characterization are strongly encouraged to apply
• Proven ability to develop software-based solutions for analytic, signal processing, or data-centric challenges; Python experience strongly preferred
• Experience performing data analysis, feature extraction, or statistical characterization of complex or imperfect datasets
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously, take technical ownership of tasks, and operate effectively in research-oriented or exploratory environments where problem definitions may evolve
• Attention to detail
• Commitment to excellence
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience developing, evaluating, or refining signal processing or statistical algorithms
• Experience applying AI / ML techniques to real-world datasets
• Experience working with noisy, incomplete, or high-dimensional data
• Ability to translate theoretical concepts into reliable analytic or experimental software
• XMidas experience is a plus
If you are motivated by solving challenging analytic problems, developing novel approaches, and working with real-world signal data in a laboratory setting, we encourage you to apply.
