We are seeking a highly qualified Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. They possess an expert working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). They analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Installs/loads operating system and application software.
  • Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.


Required Qualifications
  • Must meet one of the following
    • High School Diploma/GED and 16+ years of experience
    • Associate's degree and 14+ years of experience
    • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience (Preferred)
  • TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph
  • Possess and maintain IAT Level II Certification (Security+)


Required Skills
  • Experience working on a development team under DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a positive attitude and motivation to learn new things.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery.


Preferred Skills
  • Must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
  • Strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
  • 10 or more years of program/application operations experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to read documentation and find solutions to technical issues independently.
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community.
