Senior Network / Unified Communications Engineer
Location: Onsite – Camp Lejeune, NC

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Unified Communications Engineer to support mission‑critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems at Camp Lejeune. This role will assist the Government Lead with daily engineering operations and will be responsible for the architecture, design, deployment, and sustainment of complex, multi‑level network and voice infrastructures across classified, unclassified, and coalition environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Government Lead with daily engineering operations, including administration of Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Plan, schedule, and execute system conversions and network cutovers.
Evaluate, design, and troubleshoot network hardware and software across LAN/BAN/WAN environments.
Develop and integrate Identity and Access Management (IAM) requirements across enterprise systems.
Architect, deploy, and maintain multi‑level network environments supporting voice, video, and mobility solutions across classified, unclassified, and coalition networks.
Engineer and support Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, including the design and integration of new and existing VoIP servers, switches, routers, and related infrastructure.
Support advanced VoIP capabilities such as Extension Mobility, Unified Messaging, Emergency Responder, and Call Center operations within a Service Desk environment.
Design VoIP solutions incorporating Layer 3 switching and Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) configurations to support U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Voice over Secure IP (VoSIP) integration and transition.
Design and configure auxiliary voice Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), PSTN interfaces, fax modules, and supporting network devices.
Manage hardware, software, network connectivity, and scheduling required to support video teleconferencing across Department of Navy (DON), DoD, Federal, and Commercial networks.
Integrate network services with Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for network devices and appliances.
Perform Rights Management Services (RMS) administration for users, groups, and administrators.
Design, develop, and operate secure application networking ports, protocols, routing, LAN services, and Information Assurance (IA) controls.
Integrate Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates and network accounts to support two‑factor authentication and eliminate password‑based authentication where applicable.
Develop customized, multi‑vendor networking solutions utilizing technologies from Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and other industry partners.
Develop, maintain, and manage Internet Protocol (IP) addressing schemes and IP address management (IPAM).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
7–10 years of progressive experience in network and communications engineering.
Active Secret security clearance.
DoD 8570/8140 compliant Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification.
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL certification.
Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP).
Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional (FCNSP).
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional – Security (JNCIP‑SEC).
Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP).
Compensation
$40/hr to $60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
