The Opportunity:
- Lead complex IT and business modernization initiatives supporting the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) mission.
- Serve as a senior project leader within the Program Office Support & Vendor Management functional area, driving schedule, cost, and performance outcomes.
- Partner with Government stakeholders, shipyard leadership, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver secure, mission-critical capabilities.
- Oversee execution of enterprise-scale software, infrastructure, and cybersecurity efforts aligned to DoD and Department of the Navy (DoN) policies.
- Contribute to modernization efforts that enhance operational readiness, data integrity, and lifecycle maintenance management across Navy platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage multiple concurrent projects in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), project plans, risk registers, and status reports for Government review.
- Coordinate across functional teams (software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business analysts) to ensure integrated delivery of enterprise IT solutions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; manage change control processes and ensure configuration management compliance.
- Provide leadership and oversight to project personnel; communicate program status, issues, and recommendations to senior Government and contractor leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management supporting DoD or Navy programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, enterprise-level IT systems, software development, or modernization efforts.
- Experience developing project documentation, including schedules, risk management plans, status reports, and contract deliverables.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience supporting Navy maintenance, logistics, or shipyard operations environments.
- Familiarity with DoD/DoN cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) policies and frameworks.
- Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
