Job Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced Software License Manager to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer In this role you will serve as a Software License Manager supporting the Software License Support Team (CIO-5B) within the Defense Intelligence Agency's Chief Information Office. This position is responsible for formulating and implementing efficient commercial IT procurement strategies, managing enterprise software licenses, and providing data analytics to support software asset management across the DIA enterprise.

• Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred)
• 12 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
• Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between software vendors and the government to conduct in-depth vendor product evaluations, impact analysis, and license engineering assessments
- Assist the government in management of DIA Enterprise and CIO software licenses and processes, and assist in strategic planning and coordination with external stakeholders and overseers
- Provide recommendations to meet business needs and perform analytics with enterprise license analysis
- Maintain and reconcile software license inventory, financial records and budget (current/out year) estimations, and cost of IT software and hardware procurement in the Software Asset Management (SAM) Tool
- Host a data share for the Agency's media library that contains original media images, software downloads, product documentation, product licensing, user guides and manuals, and license assignment allocations
- Update and maintain software data catalog using ServiceNow
- Provide automated software installation detection and license utilization monitoring using the existing SAM Tool or equivalent
- Provide automated installations of software, upgrades, and patches, complete all required configuration testing, and deploy updates in accordance with Agency guidelines
- Conduct analysis of Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) to be transitioned to the SLM Team, including in-depth evaluation to determine resources, level of effort, mission category, applications utilizing software, IC ITE status, functional points of contact, and user base
- Assess whether contracts are considered enterprise or used by a small/select user base and whether it will be feasible for the Enterprise Service License Board (ESLB) to manage the agreement with current resources

Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be required within Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
Level of Responsibility:

Level of Supervision Required:
- The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
- Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing and walking on a frequent basis.
- This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
