The Red Gate Group is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor (Consultant IT Strategy, Senior) to provide expert-level strategic, technical, and programmatic support to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer (CIO) Zero Trust (ZT) Program. This position is critical to advancing the agency's Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and cybersecurity posture, supporting mission objectives for DIA, OUSD(I&S), and the broader Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). The Senior Technical Advisor will lead and support the planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of ZT implementation, including technical evaluation, policy development, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement to ensure DIA meets required IC and DoD levels of ZT maturity..

Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of Zero Trust Architecture implementation, including development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Provide expert recommendations on cyber standards, ZT principles, concepts, and best practices to ensure alignment with DIA/CIO security policies and procedures.
- Advise on the design and development of ZT architecture, including network diagrams, system designs, and data flows, ensuring alignment with security requirements and industry best practices
- Develop, modify, and implement comprehensive IT governance frameworks aligned with industry standards, best practices, and ZT strategic objectives.
- Create and document IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect regulatory requirements, organizational needs, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor and measure the progress of ZT implementation, ensuring outcomes align with leadership's vision and end-state capabilities.
- Support the continuous improvement of IT governance practices, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and ensure ongoing alignment with ZT strategies.
- Provide support to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to assess implementation of enterprise services and security controls within the ZT architecture.
- Assist in the creation and assessment of data security policies to support Zero Trust Environment (ZTE) objectives
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred)
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of IT strategy and Zero Trust activities required to meet mission requirements.
- Minimum 8 years of experience related to IT strategy, cybersecurity, or Zero Trust, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Master's degree in a field related to IT strategy, cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; OR Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 13 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree
