We are seeking a Unity Software Engineer II to contribute to development and maintenance of Unity-based training and simulation systems. This role focuses on feature implementation, bug resolution, and system enhancement within an established application framework.

The developer will work under technical leadership to implement reliable, maintainable C# solutions while supporting overall application performance and usability. This role is well-suited for a mid-level engineer looking to grow into deeper architectural and system-level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Unity Development:
  • Implement features and enhancements in Unity (C#).
  • Contribute to subsystem improvements within an established architecture.
  • Resolve defects and performance issues.
  • Support UI systems, input handling, and application workflows.

System Support:
  • Follow existing architectural patterns and coding standards.
  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting framework-level issues
  • Assist with integration between Unity and external systems.

Code Quality:
  • Write maintainable, well-structured C# code.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to unit or functional testing efforts.
  • Document technical decisions when appropriate.

Agile Participation:
  • Participate in sprint planning and task estimation.
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly.
  • Deliver committed sprint work reliably.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS or HS Diploma and Equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years Unity development experience.
  • Strong C# fundamentals.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualification:
  • Experience with performance profiling in Unity.
  • Experience working within a shared application framework.
  • Familiarity with desktop C# development (e.g., WPF).
  • Experience integrating Unity with external services.
  • Experience working in structured development environments.
