Responsibilities
- This position will be responsible for analyzing contractors' Integrated Master Schedules, and building/maintaining government program schedules/road maps.
- Duties will include:
- Creating/maintaining a program WBS
- Performing schedule risk assessments
- Analysis of actual versus baseline and estimated duration
- Evaluation of schedule progress against the plan
- Evaluation of the contractor's written reports, and critical path analysis.
- Additional duties include:
- Establishing project schedule configuration management policies
- Establishing a schedule strategy
- Schedule planning and development
- Interfacing with program budget and cost analysts.
- Work may also include:
- Schedule estimating
- Substantiation of confidence level generation
- Development of JACS analysis schedule
- Schedule/prediction analysis
- Performance measurement (earned value), DCMA 14-Point Assessments, and project forecasting.
- This position requires daily interface with government personnel and contractors.
Skills Required
- We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent quantitative and communication skills.
- The position requires an organized, detailed-oriented individual with strong customer-oriented communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Project, Milestone Professional, ACEIT/JACS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with other schedule analysis tools, e.g., Primavera, PertMaster, Steelray, and with Department of Defense (DoD) programs to acquire space and launch systems is desired.
- Applicant must be proficient in performing program system level schedule analyses and oversight, generating schedule assessments, and preparing reports/presentations.
- A working knowledge of, schedule management, scheduling, cost estimating, and earned value management guidelines is required and familiarity with defense acquisition and satellite communication is desirable.
- Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate
- The AFRL/RV is located at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. It serves as the Air Force's center of excellence for space technology research and development, focusing on space-based capabilities such as intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, space situational awareness, communications, defensive space control, and nuclear delivery systems.
- The Directorate consists of an integrated team of military, civilian, and on-site contractors.
- AFRL executes the Science and Technology appropriations of the Department of the Air Force (DAF).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance required.
- Desired Certifications: Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
