Summary: SYSTOLIC iis seeking a Systems Engineer with strong project management skills to provide engineering solutions and project management for data flows supporting tactical mission partners. The successful candidate will be able to elicit and refine requirements, schedule work breakdown to deliverables, document artifacts, and provide roadmaps and schedules for implementing end-to-end data flows, including transformation into a standard data model. The individual will form good customer relationships and reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users. They will have a good understanding of the customer data flow architecture. They will work as a key contributor in an agile development environment.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Ability to form good relationships with customers and mission partners
• Reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users
• Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements.
• Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira
• Good understanding of data processing capabilities
• Understands system-to-system connections for data flow processes
• Basic understanding of NiFi, should understand flow file attributes or be able to learn it quickly
• Understanding of SIGINT collection and analysis
• Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, Tactical Collection Capabilities, Military SIGINT architectures and related data flows.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Experience with Tactical collection
• Experience with Electronic Warfare operations, sensors and related data
• Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP and XML
• Understanding of tactical datalinks and command and control signals
• Understanding of data architectures
• Experience with Intelligence Community
• Understanding of DoD - command structures and relationships
• Experience with customer mission partners
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience. OR A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area). OR A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience. OR A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience. Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management. Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.
