Help Desk Specialist, Junior supporting HQ DIA at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington DC:
• Provides in-depth support and leads problem solving and implementation efforts for specific technology products or applications.
• Support customers with technical assistance using PRESS Publisher application Suite.
• Support customers with technical assistance using the LOOP system
• Working with callers and other help desk specialists to resolve normal and unusual information system problems.
• Evaluating the efficiency of new tools and utilities used for help desk services.
• Monitoring and categorizing incoming calls, analyzing frequently asked questions and defining procedures.
• Participating in the analysis of client-identified issues or problems which may require changes to procedures, standards or systems.
• Demonstrated experience working help desk issues in a classified environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Independently manages multiple complex work assignments with minimal oversight and review.
• Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
• Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
• Four (4) years' experience in specific labor category and with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years OR a Bachelor’s degree in area related to the labor category
• TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Hours on client site will flex dependent on mission need in time zones outside the Eastern time zone.
• Demonstrated experience serving customers who need technical assistance via phone or e-mail; troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical hardware and/or software issues, and providing quick resolution and customer service.
