Waypoint's client is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Data Scientist in support of a funded, active IC program. Those qualified will possess the following:
Required Skills:
- Prototypes methods for tracking the status of the deployed IT infrastructure
- Evaluates raw system logging data from a variety of input sources (SysLog, Splunk, etc.)
- Conceives of ways to track and communicate near real-time equipment state changes (e.g, up or down)
- Produces a narrative on why the state change could be important for troubleshooting outages
- Maps state changes against maintenance activities within ServiceNow to help focus attention on unauthorized events
- Communicates the prototypes to production administrators for incorporation within the production Situational Awareness as a Service (SAaaS) dashboards for executive management consumption
