The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer, Service Central Program Management Office (CIO-2). In this role you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise in the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of the enterprise ServiceNow platform supporting DIA's IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary ServiceNow subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance on platform capabilities, best practices, and enterprise integration strategies
Lead ServiceNow platform architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with DIA enterprise IT strategy and Zero Trust security frameworks
Advise Government stakeholders on ServiceNow module implementation, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SecOps, and HR Service Delivery
Develop and maintain ServiceNow governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures
Provide technical oversight for ServiceNow configuration, customization, and workflow development efforts
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and data sources
Conduct platform assessments and provide recommendations for process improvements and automation opportunities
Support requirements gathering and translation of business needs into ServiceNow technical solutions
Mentor and guide junior team members on ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices
Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings on ServiceNow initiatives, roadmaps, and performance metrics
Support Agile/Scrum development processes for ServiceNow enhancements and new module deployments
Ensure ServiceNow implementations comply with federal security requirements, including RMF and NIST frameworks
Qualifications:
· Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred)
· Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
· Minimum 12 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
· Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow platform administration, architecture, and module implementation
· Proven ability to advise senior Government leadership on enterprise IT strategy and platform decisions
Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required within Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
Level of Responsibility:
Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.
Level of Supervision Required:
The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing and walking on a frequent basis.
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
