Leads the daily operations of the SOATB MH47 support team. Reports to the ATS SOATB hangar manager. Monitors and approves timekeeping and training based on established procedures and computer programs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises aircraft flight schedules and maintenance activities for up to 14 MH-47G aircraft.
  • Assigns maintenance tasks to team for assigned aircraft and daily flight schedules.
  • Ability to lead and direct a team of 26 people in the performance of supporting the SOATB and SIMO MH47 sections both at home station and while TDY to various CONUS locations.
  • Designates TDY support team personnel for CONUS trips of up to two weeks in length.
  • Schedules aircraft to meet mission requirements and maintain proper scheduled maintenance flow.
  • Handles unscheduled maintenance events as they occur and coordinates for assistance from passback as necessary.
  • Will be involved in personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions of subordinate employees.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid knowledge of ACN, HYDRA, and aircraft forms and records process.
  • Previous experience with MH-47G MDS required.
  • Experience and knowledge of SOATB operations preferred.
