Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Assisting in the development of housing management plans;
2) Providing oversight of contractor work;
3) Preparing specifications for complex maintenance and housing projects; AND
4) Creating long-range work plans to justify housing project support.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)

Additional information
- Serves as the senior housing manager and RCI Asset Manager at the Installation where family housing is privatized or where plans are underway.
- Utilize knowledge of housing, barracks facilities, asset management and residential development, to engage in the planning, design, revitalization, financing, and improvement of housing, barracks and related facilities.
- Responsible for project oversight of the privatized family and unaccompanied housing and centralized barracks management programs, and the direct management of non-privatized installation housing functions.
- Serve as subject matter expert and advisor to the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and the Garrison commander to address and resolve installation, local community, state and private sector official issues.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
