Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to serve as a Space Test Support Analyst in support of the 98th Space Range Squadron.

In this role, the selected candidate will provide analytical and operational support across the full lifecycle of space system test and training activities, including planning, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting. The analyst will support test events and training operations to ensure objectives are clearly defined, properly executed, and thoroughly documented.

Responsibilities also include providing integrated analytical support for system design reviews, test strategy development, test planning working groups, and related test and training forums. The Space Test Support Analyst will collaborate with engineering, operations, and mission stakeholders to ensure test objectives, risk considerations, and performance metrics are aligned with mission requirements and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Space Test and Training Support Analyst will:
  • Develop and maintain training curricula, including course objectives, lesson plans, presentations, course examinations, exercise scripts, reference mission designs, training schedules, and progress tracking tools
  • Sustain and update curriculum materials in accordance with internal standards and established review cycles; support periodic training courses and operational exercises
  • Develop, test, and maintain operational documentation, including user guides, manuals, checklists, and job aids
  • Conduct analytical support for test planning activities, including evaluating pre-test predictions, models, and simulations to design test events, define data collection requirements, and establish go/no-go criteria aligned with test objectives
  • Develop Data Management and Analysis Plans (DMAPs) to ensure proper data collection for modeling and simulation activities, real-time test execution, and post-mission processing and evaluation
  • Prepare and review comprehensive test planning documentation, including test plans, Test Information Sheets, safety packages, data analysis management plans, Technical and Safety Review Board briefings, Test Readiness Briefs, test cards, and final test/analysis reports
  • Monitor the collection of modeling and simulation data and real-time test and range parameters; evaluate results to determine whether system configuration, performance, and architecture meet defined requirements for effectiveness and suitability
  • Coordinate data requests; process and validate data; conduct quality control reviews and anomaly resolution; and perform analysis in accordance with approved analysis plans
  • Develop, enhance, and apply data analysis tools to support complex test simulations and scenario-based evaluations
  • Support analysis and reporting activities to assess system performance, operational effectiveness, and mission suitability

Responsibilities

Skills and Experience

The Space Test Support Analyst must have:
  • TS/SCI eligibility
  • 3+ years of relevant Department of Defense experience
  • 9+ months of experience working in a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment
  • Basic understanding of space architectures, space-based sensors, and/or communications system
  • Experience developing or supporting training lesson plans and instructional materials
  • Foundational experience in data analysis, modeling, simulation, or test evaluation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and briefings
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and interpret technical data
  • Prior teaching or instructional delivery experience preferred

The Space Test and Training Support Analyst must have the following:

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
