Kaizen Approach is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to perform and review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, non-compliance with Cybersecurity standards, and to recommend mitigation strategies. In this role, the ISSE will validate and verify system security requirements, establish system security designs, and design, develop, implement, or integrate Cybersecurity and security system components across networking, computing, and enclave environments with varying data protection and classification requirements. The position involves building Cybersecurity into systems deployed to operational environments, supporting security architecture development, enforcing trusted relationships among external systems, and assessing and mitigating security risks throughout the system development life cycle. The ISSE will contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities, review certification and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance, and support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS and NIST Risk Management Framework processes.

Requirements:
- Must have the ability to participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams supporting the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments, including Cybersecurity architectures, systems, and system components.
- Must possess the ability to apply knowledge of Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Must be capable of interacting with customers and other project team members to support coordinated security engineering activities and project execution.
- Must have the ability to support the Government in enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Must possess the ability to support and provide security planning, security assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities across systems and networks.
- Must be capable of identifying overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data and recommending system-level solutions to resolve identified security requirements.
- Must have the ability to perform system and network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, including environments with differing data protection and classification requirements.
- Must have twelve years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including recent experience within the last five years with Cybersecurity principles and technologies such as access control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, and network and enterprise security architecture, or sixteen years of ISSE experience if no bachelor's degree is held.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four additional years of ISSE experience may be substituted for the degree, and must be DoD 8570 compliant with IASAE II.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
