Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking experienced Information Security Systems Engineering (ISSE) professionals to join the Network Security Engineering Team, supporting managed network infrastructures for federal government and other customers. This position is part of the Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team, focused on advancing new technologies and business opportunities for the company. The role offers a dynamic work environment, with responsibilities including the development of security architecture for managed networks and conducting research on advanced security-related topics. This is a 100% on-site position at the L3Harris offices in Melbourne, Florida. Remote work is not permitted.

Essential Functions:
- Support Security Systems Engineering efforts on IRAD initiatives by developing network security architecture, selecting new technologies, and conducting research on advanced security topics.
- Develop, maintain, and publish technical documentation and white papers in alignment with L3Harris Systems Engineering standards.
- Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 or more years of directly related experience will be considered.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 4 years of hands-on experience in Network and Platform Security.
- 1 year of hands-on experience in Cloud Security (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles.
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles with some hands-on implementation experience.
- Extensive experience in cloud environments is strongly preferred.
- In-depth experience with networking technologies.
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise networks and associated devices.
- Familiarity with applying NIST and FISMA controls tailored to specific customer requirements.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or related credentials.
