In this role you will provide configuration management and logistics support for multiple U.S. Navy gun weapon system (GWS) programs, and will act as a critical support specialist, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and management of all GWS configuration and logistics data. This is a non-engineering role focused on process administration, data management, and coordination, facilitating the lifecycle sustainment of these weapon systems by supporting the program and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:
Configuration Management (CM) Support:
  • Provide CM support by meticulously updating and maintaining the Configuration Management database (CDMD-OA and/or MBPS) as required by the GWS platform.
  • Develop Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP) files to accurately document and support equipment installations based on ILS Certifications and NDE planning.
  • Develop and process COP files to formally close out GWS installations, ensuring compliance with NAVSEA 9090-310 & 9090-700. •
  • Develop and manage the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) file for GWS equipment installs. •
  • Provide drawing support and review within the Model Based Program Support (MBPS) environment.
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Coordination:
  • Provide support for the development, maintenance, and updates of the ILS Management Plan and associated ILS documents.
  • Develop and review documentation based on Navy Data Environment (NDE) scheduling.
  • Prepare and organize materials and presentations for ILS management and planning meetings.
  • Participate in meetings with Program, Maintenance, and ISEA systems engineers to ensure ILS impacts are correctly documented.
  • Maintenance & Supply Process Support:
  • Support the Planned Maintenance System by processing Technical Feedback Reports and assisting the ISEA in the validation and verification process for maintenance procedures.
  • Provide Maintenance Repair Cards (MRC) and Maintenance Index Page (MIP) updates for PSR changes using the NAVY mandated workflow system.
  • Manage the GWS Fleet Modernization Tool (FMT) by ensuring data is current and accurate.
  • Provide support for 2J COG items, including updating the 2J item tracker, monitoring stock status, and supporting data review.
  • Engineering Request & Data Coordination:
  • Route and assign ESRS/339 and 311 engineering requests to the GWS cognizant engineering code using mandated NAVSUP/DLA workflow website.
  • Track the progress and completion data of all routed engineering requests on the 339 and 311 Dashboards.
  • Review classified CASREP data from databases (ECASREPS, MFOM) and sanitize the data for status reporting to PEOs, fleet TYCOM support, and the ISEA

Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor's degree, or minimum 5 years of closely related experience working with Navy or DoD weapon systems, equipment, or programs.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Configuration Management support for complex military systems, preferably U.S. Navy Gun Weapon Systems.
  • Proficiency in using and managing data within Navy databases, specifically CDMD-OA and/or MBPS.
  • Direct experience with documentation and processes that support Navy lifecycle, including COP files, AIT files, ILS Certifications, and A-12 documentation.
  • Experience with and understanding of Navy maintenance and supply processes (PMS, TFRs, MRC/MIP updates, 2J COG).
  • Experience with the administrative processing of engineering requests (ESRS/339, 311) through mandated workflows.
