Responsibilities
- Operate all deicing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct and document daily equipment and truck inspections.
- Manage deice fluid operations, including proper mixing, distribution, and testing.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 4-12 employees, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Train and coach new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and deicing standards, verifying completion.
- Hold team members accountable for task completion, safety compliance, and operational standards.
- Plan daily operations based on weather forecasts and operational demands.
- Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and safety documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for other departments and customers during assigned shifts.
- Assist with other Ramp Operations duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in inclement weather and at heights up to 40'.
- Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules during winter operations.
- Successfully complete pre-employment background check, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years deicing experience.
- Prior ramp service experience.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, team management, training, and accountability skills.
- Ability to motivate, guide, and enforce standards among team members.
- Problem-solving and decision-making under operational pressure.
- Basic math and documentation skills.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, walk, stand, and sit.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Noise levels may vary; hearing protection provided as needed.
