Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great opportunity for a Security Coordinator for our NITE Contract located on the East Coast of the United States.
In this position you will carry out the security measures necessary for implementing requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), government security regulations, and company security policies and procedures. Primary duties include the execution and management of the NITE daily security program requirements as well as participation and contribution to the company's security program. Conduct security briefings and administers an effective security education program. Adheres to and enforces security policies and procedures required within the NITE Quality Management System.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Department of Navy security policies and other security activities for HII Mission Technologies, including document control, visitor control, personnel security, physical security, and interpretation/preparation/maintenance of prime and subcontract DD Form 254 for classified contracting.
• Prepare, track, and monitor all security QMS documents to ensure document update timelines are met.
• Provide weekly security status reports for all East Coast NITE ranges.
• Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.
• Provide guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork.
• Conduct security training, briefings, and debriefings.
• Manage, protect, and safeguard all classified materials (receive, control, route, store, mark, package, mail, and destroy all classified materials and their associated records).
• Investigate and report all counterintelligence threats through NCIS and DCSA.
• Manage the security function of all access controllers and site security reps on the East Coast.
• Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of Management including Senior Management
• Investigate and report security violations and draft incident reports through the CDRL A012 reporting vehicle.
• Maintain all records in compliance with NITE security manual A011 and subsequent work instructions.
Minimum Qualifications
• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Secret clearance
• Strong knowledge of the NITE Quality Management System and the aspects specific to the execution of the NITE CDRL A012 Security Program. To include personnel security; classified information systems Assessment & Authorization; classified contract management and contract security classification specification (DD254) preparation; physical security; insider threat program; counterterrorism and counterintelligence; administrative inquiries, etc.
• Strong knowledge and use of NITE related databases, RIMS, Maximo, Confluence/JIRA.
• Knowledge and experience enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Experience with COMSEC instructions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of the DOE, Intelligence Community, and other Government security regulatory manuals a plus.
Preferred Requirements
• NITE Quality Mangagment System experience
• Working knowledge of Maximo
