The psychiatrist (MD) supporting this position will support the program by evaluating personnel as well as providing accurate reports in compliance with mission standards and requirements. Essential duties may include:
- Provide reports of evaluations, making sure to include all necessary elements such as Sources of Information (PSF, etc.), discussion/evaluation data (should include evaluation of data received by DOE and if the report can be released directly to the subject), mental status examination and results, interview information pertinent history (mental health, alcohol, drugs, behavior, financial, etc.) and all included testing and results.
- Analyze personnel test results (any psychological and/or laboratory test results and the interpretation/ analysis of those test results, to include but not limited to, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) tests, urinalysis, drug testing, alcohol testing, etc.
- Professional interpretation of results, conditions, or determining factors.
- Provide personnel summaries (to include diagnosis, as well as professional opinion regarding any rehabilitation and reformation).
- Adhere to and deliver discussion of criteria used (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders otherwise known as DSM-5 or other diagnostic manual).
- Draft, review, and implement evaluation questions (as well as provide detailed answers/descriptions posed by DOE in the request letter).
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a psychiatrist (MD).
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Seven to ten (7-10) years of related experience, preferably with the DOE.
