ASRC Federal is seeking an Inventory Distribution & Transportation Support Specialist.
Material Handlers: Job Requirements
- Warehouse and Inventory Management (MH)
o Receive and inspect all incoming stock for count, quality and discrepancies (Est. 54,000 pieces per year).
o Label and bag all material as needed, stock and organize shelves.
o Communicate with suppliers product discrepancies, order status and product availability.
o Perform Physical Inventories and daily cycle counts.
- Customer Service. (SC)
o Provide quality customer support and assist customers to locate material and make sure we have the quantities needed
o Assist customer with researching new items to add to stock.
o Process customer product orders at checkouts in a timely manner. There are three customer checkout counters located at the Industrial Storefront (Est. 800 Lines and 4,500 Pieces per Month).
o Perform customer Checkouts, verify all material and Purchase Requisition Forms (PR) information is accurate (proper signatures, dollar amounts etc). Ensure all safety items have the proper safety approval and supervisor forms.
o Coordinate product staging to fill customer Quick Pick orders. Stage material for pick-up and handle customer returns.
- Warehouse functions. (MH)
o Conduct daily pre-operational/pre-use Forklift Inspection
o Perform daily Closeout Report and general housekeeping, sweeping, cleaning, organizing
o Perform restocking of shelves and inspect all work areas.
o Inspect (Monthly) Fire Extinguishers, Eye Wash Stations, Ladders
o Attend monthly Safety Meetings
- Alterations Work Group (AWG) Responsibilities is the same as above but includes: (MH/SC)
o Responsible for inspecting material for accurate counts, this consists of breaking down a pallet and counting/inspecting all material and communicates any discrepancies to Properties Management Brach.
o Place in location, issuing material to the customer and manage paperwork with PMB.
o Re-tag items if faded, tag is missing or deteriorated, Inspect and check materials periodically. Report any damage or infestations located in the BSY.
o Inspect Fence line and entire yard daily, provide General Housekeeping for 2 warehouses - make sure empty pallets are removed and area is clean of debris
o Maintain one office area.

• Tool Accessories (Grinding Disc, Drill Bits, Files, Utility Knives)
• Electrical Items (includes Batteries, Timers, Terminals)
• Paint and Sundries (Brushes, Rollers, Tarps, Buckets, Tape)
• Plumbing Items (includes Water Filter, Toilets)
• HVAC (Filters, Belts, Fittings)
• Cleaning & Maintenance (Poly sheeting, Brooms, Rope)
• Lumber & Building Products (Lumber, Plywood, Drywall, Rebar, CMU Blocks)
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Graduate or GED
5 Years Min warehousing and material handling experience
Ability to obtain Pentagon Public Trust CAC Access.
Experience using forklift and Material Handling equipment for standup and ride on forklifts and power jacks in mall setting.
Requires knowledge of Microsoft APPs Word and Excel required for daily reporting, sales transactions, job completion and timesheet recording.
