Summary:
Nisga'a Group is searching for an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO). This position requires the ability to apply independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis, and resolution of security-related matters. This individual will report to the VP of Operations in a challenging, fast-paced, collaborative, and rewarding environment. They will maintain the security programs for approximately four (4) small businesses with approximately one hundred (100) Personnel Security Clearances (PCL) associated primarily with collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. The successful candidate will achieve a balance between the overall objective and specific details, take pride in their work, and strive for excellence.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000 to $119,800.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Update and maintain all security related databases including DISS, National Industrial Security System (NISS) and ACCS, and SPOT
- Update and maintain company security documentation
- Update and maintain data and documents in DISS/ NISS
- Perform security clearance checks for candidates
- Submit visitor access requests (VARs), badge requests and recertifications as required
- Investigate incidents and security violations, conduct administrative inquiries (AI), and submit reports as required
- Prepare DD Form 254s for sub-contractors
- Act as liaison with DCSA, as required
- Provide expert security advice and assistance for our companies
- Ensure our Nisga'a companies are compliant with Facility Clearance (FCL) Government regulations
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing DISS/ NISS
- Knowledge and experience utilizing ACCS preferred
- Understand our company corporate structure and bylaws as they pertain to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
- Understand and follow security processes and regulations to ensure compliance with NATO, DOD, DOS, and OGA security requirements for personnel, information, CI, and COMSEC
- Complete the following Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Security Training, Education and Professionalization Portal (STEPP) courses prior to start, unless otherwise identified:
- FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum (within 6 months of employment)
- Establishing an Insider Threat Program training
- Insider Threat Awareness training
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) training
- Cyber Awareness training
- NISS External User training
- Quickly grasp policies and procedures presented during on-the-job training
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Effective time management
- Positive mentoring and reinforcement
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two or more years as an AFSO or FSO
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Top Secret (TS) Clearance
