JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Senior Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician for a direct hire role with one of our largest technology clients. This person will work onsite in Fauquier County VA. In this role, the individual prioritizes ticketing queues, resolves escalations, and removes blocking issues to support ongoing Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) operations. They provide task specific guidance to technicians handling inbound and outbound deliveries, including PO receiving and RMS activities, while ensuring accurate documentation of all packages. The role involves close coordination with third party warehouses, OEM vendors, and suppliers to keep deliveries on track, as well as performing assigned tasks and escalating issues during high volume or high urgency situations. Leveraging strong process knowledge, they address technical escalations, enable onsite or remote data center support, and maintain a clear customer focused mindset to maximize quality and value. They ensure inventory accuracy, act as the SME for RMA warranty processes, and oversee the scheduling and compliance of DBD destruction procedures. Additionally, they participate in daily safety briefings, reinforce safety protocols, and guide technicians on proper equipment use. They also proactively seek opportunities to enhance workstreams, driving simplification and automation across processes and services.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma AND 2+ years' experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, retail, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet client's BG, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination. Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment. Client Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years' experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation OR equivalent experience.
