Program Manager

Duties

• Work closely with the commander, deputies and other principal staff, providing continuity of corporate leadership in assessing district mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives.
• Responsible for the vertical and horizontal integration of products to produce the projects and manage the program for the district.
• Performing management functions such as interviewing and selecting personnel for key positions, approving personnel authorizations, making regional assignments to cope with workload changes, establish controls for fund expenditures.
• Establishing policy relating to the professional accomplishments of the assignments.
• Assure continuity of management in the executive office at times of change in commanders.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal Service which includes supervising program management by providing oversight and direction of large and technically complex civil works and/or Interagency/International Support (IIS) projects or programs to include at least one of the following: flood control, storm damage prevention, environmental restoration, and/or medical facilities construction.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
