The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a System Engineer to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications. The position involves documenting the full life cycle design, development and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics. Looking for a candidate with a technical background with experience in troubleshooting and requirements gathering. Must have the ability to document the tool and inner workings to include creating standard system engineering and test documentation. Attention to detail is needed to test new software releases and document results. The candidate should have the ability to work directly with customers to identify and resolve user reported issues either by establishing alternative solutions or generating bug reports.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration with Development Team:
  • Work closely with a team of developers to implement new capabilities.
  • Support the current classification marking tool and the tool for M365 web-based applications.


Documentation:
  • Document the full life cycle of design, development, and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
  • Create standard system engineering and test documentation.
  • Document the tool and its inner workings in detail.


Technical Background and Expertise:
  • Utilize a technical background to troubleshoot issues and gather requirements.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of the tool's functionality and operations.


Attention to Detail:
  • Test new software releases meticulously.
  • Document the results of testing with a high level of detail.


Customer Interaction:
  • Work directly with customers to identify and resolve user-reported issues.
  • Establish alternative solutions or generate bug reports as needed to address these issues.


Problem-Solving:
  • Identify problems within the system and work towards resolving them effectively.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation and communication regarding any issues and their resolutions.


Lifecycle Management:
  • Manage the software development lifecycle from initial design through to final testing and deployment.
  • Ensure that all phases are well-documented and any issues are thoroughly addressed.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Experience generating standard system engineering and test documents
  • Excellent written skills and experience in generating program/process related documents

  • Establish internal schedules and milestones
  • Report weekly/monthly/quarterly status in a timely manner
  • Document processes and provide deliverable to the government
  • Provide meeting minutes
  • Ability to test new configurations/software releases
  • Coordinate and identify test users for various scenarios
  • Track and report testing results
  • Coordinate software deliveries with external organizations
