Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.

Summary:

The Expungement Processor supports the administration and execution of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) administrative and criminal indexing records expungement, challenge, and corrections program. This role ensures expungement requests are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with applicable law, DoD, and DAF policy. The Expungement Processor works closely with AFCJIC leadership, policy, and audit stakeholders to support policy development, compliance oversight, and formal responses to internal and external inquiries.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Administration of the DAF administrative and criminal indexing records expungement, challenge, and corrections program.
  • Develops, reviews, and adjusts AFCJIC policy, guidance, and procedures for processing expungement requests.
  • Work closely with the AFCJIC Policy Manager to review and revise DAF policy and guidance regarding expungements.
  • Advise on any DoW and other DAF policy concerning the expungement or correction of indexing records.
  • Coordinate with AFCJIC Audit Program Manager regarding field and DAF level compliance with reporting procedures.
  • In coordination with senior AFCJIC leadership respond, in conjunction with other AFCJIC programs, on all Congressional, FOIA, Agency Release, DoW, and DAF requests/inquiries regarding the expungement program.
  • Process all requests received within established timeline and procedures, ensuring notification of expungement review results are formally conveyed to the requestors.
  • Oversee the submission and accurate processing of all required corrective notices to appropriate agencies who hold DAF indexing records.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of common criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and adherence to established timelines and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in records processing and management.
  • Must have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
