Job Summary:
High Prairie Services (HPS) provides IT services to the Government with a diverse team of professionals aligned throughout various work streams.  HPS is currently seeking qualified Cloud Engineer support, with specific knowledge of provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems and environments in a Hybrid Cloud environment including Private Clouds and the Public and Community Clouds.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and operate an Infrastructure as a Service offering using commercial cloud services such as those provided as part of C2E (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Maintain and operate cloud environment that manages various fit-for-purpose cloud instance types including but not limited to General Compute (for regular/balanced workloads), Storage Enhanced (for workloads that require additional storage), and GPU enhanced (for workloads that require integrated GPUs).
• Assist in keeping system and application blueprints current and add new blueprints as requested.
• Maintain and sustain capacity management, monitoring, and dashboards to monitor the health of the IaaS environment.
• Share content via customizable dashboards, views, and reports.
• Monitor capacity metering, trending, right-sizing, what-if scenarios, and resource optimization.
• Monitor OS resources (CPU, disk, memory, and network) and perform root-cause analysis and recommendations for technical issues.
• Monitor application dependency mapping, naming, and versioning via automated application discovery and relationship visualization.
• Implement Cloud and OS-level change, configuration, patch management, hardening, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, support, and troubleshoot scripts for automation of IT-related tasks for all system designs. Test automation in approved test environment. Assist system administrators with integration and implementation of automation.
• Assist with maintaining system ATO (Authority to Operate).
• Support and troubleshoot scripts.
• Assist in integrating applications with cloud native APIs.
• Work with commercial cloud providers to troubleshoot any issues that arise in implementing IaaS solutions.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:
• This position operates on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday. Occasional weekends as needed.
• Position currently requires onsite support

TRAVEL: Position does not anticipate regular travel.

CLEARANCE:
An active Government security clearance required.

EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

CERTIFICATION(S):
· Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification.  Required.
· Have an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· One (1) to three (3) years of relevant technical experience.
· Experience supporting Cloud Services and ability to provision, operate, and maintain systems and environments in a Hybrid Cloud environment including Private Clouds such as a VMware environment, and the Public and Community Clouds including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud and other cloud providers approved for Government use.
· Experience in creating, maintaining and enhancing programming/scripting languages including Microsoft Powershell, Python, Bash, and/or Perl. Experience with automation tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, puppet, and/or chef. Experience using a coding repository (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
