Provide support for a DoD customer in Intelligence and Automation Operations. The purpose of this effort is to provide comprehensive operational intelligence integration and data-centric support to the DoD and its diverse customer base, including tactical units, joint forces, interagency partners, allied and coalition entities, Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), Joint Task Force J-2s, and Combatant Commands.


This effort enables intelligence consumers to discover, access, and share relevant Intelligence Community (IC) reporting-both all-source and single-source-across the networks they operate. Core services for which the Akima team is responsible include cross-domain solutions, secure network access, data management, systems integration, and access to intelligence reporting across U.S. and multinational platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees enterprise data management to enhance the Army Intelligence Program of Record, including creating and modifying data feeds, ensuring interoperability of authoritative databases, and troubleshooting data exchange.
  • Provides data management services and software, makes data-science-informed recommendations, and assesses emerging technologies to optimize intelligence systems architecture and analytical capabilities.
  • This position is also responsible for identifying gaps in intelligence data access, ingestion, and dissemination, and implementing solutions in coordination with Army G2 and DCD.
  • Responsible for synchronizing Army G-2, INSCOM, ASCC, COCOM, and Intelligence Community (IC) data-related efforts within a specified theater of operation.
  • Serves as the main point of contact between DCD and the host unit for relevant intelligence knowledge management and intelligence data lifecycle/architecture issues.
  • Also documents internal/external intelligence information management and data integration best practices and strategies and assists with documenting intelligence data flows to inform intelligence data architecture.

Work activities are focused on the following goals:
  • Understand and deconflict intelligence data requirements in support of combined/joint theater operations and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO).
  • Identify theater multinational C2ISR architectures.
  • Enable rapid dissemination of releasable intelligence reporting to appropriate Unified Action Partners.

This position acts in partnership with the Intelligence Solutions Integrator Team Lead.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience in an intelligence discipline OR associate's degree with 12 years' experience in an intelligence discipline
  • An Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph is required for consideration

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify theater ground intelligence access, data ingestion, production, dissemination gaps and facilitate DCD and Army G2 to deliver solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify data sets and data sources used by theater ground analysts.
  • Demonstrated ability to Provide Enterprise Data Management support by enhancing the data environment available to the Army Intelligence Program of Record.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and modify data feeds and ensure the transformation of data into an ingestible format for widespread dissemination and ingestion into the Army Intelligence Program of Record.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure authoritative databases are exchanging information, to include delivery and receipt of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and enable the exchange of data between the Program of Record and other authoritative databases, to include integration, collation, fusion, and data discovery support.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide Data Management solutions in the form of services and software as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-science informed recommendations that drive data transformation, enhancing the organization's ability to conduct analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the impact of new technologies on intelligence systems architecture and develop plans to adopt those new technologies and adapt current technologies.

Desired Experience
  • Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • 10 years demonstrated experience in an intelligence discipline working in the DoD or IC within the last 2 years.
