As the FTC Compliance Analyst ( Senior Project Engineer - Systems Engineering - Acquisition ), you will provide direct, full-time support to the U.S. Government-appointed Compliance Officer (CO) to assist in the execution of responsibilities ensuring Northrop Grumman's adherence to non-discriminatory practices and data protection requirements arising from its acquisition of Orbital ATK. This role plays a critical part in monitoring, assessing, and verifying compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Consent Order authorizing the acquisition.
The selected candidate will develop deep expertise in the FTC Consent Order and work closely with mid-level government officials, regulators, and industry partners to interpret, communicate, implement, and execute the Compliance Officer's responsibilities in a highly regulated environment.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Chantilly, VA or El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the Aerospace Government Compliance Team (GCT) lead responsible for developing internal requirements and overseeing the evaluation and verification of Northrop Grumman's non-discrimination and data protection practices against FTC Consent Order requirements.
- Act as a primary interface between Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and government oversight organizations, including the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
- Support interactions, as needed, with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other U.S. Government agencies on compliance-related matters.
- Develop and manage information requests, compliance processes, and procedural frameworks to ensure consistent, auditable execution of Consent Order obligations.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and allocation activities required to execute compliance tasks in coordination with the Systems Director.
- Analyze compliance findings, identify gaps or risks, and prepare clear, well-documented reports and briefings for the Compliance Officer, Systems Director, and relevant Government stakeholders.
- Support audits, reviews, and inquiries by coordinating data collection, validating evidence, and ensuring timely, accurate responses in alignment with Consent Order and Government requirements.
- Conduct site visits and travel to SRM user community locations and Northrop Grumman facilities, including Bacchus, UT; Promontory, UT; Chandler, AZ; and other locations, as required, to perform compliance verification and oversight activities.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the FTC Compliance Analyst ( Senior Project Engineer - Systems Engineering - Acquisition ) include:
- Bachelors degree in a hard science-such as Chemistry, Math, Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field-to provide a robust interdisciplinary foundation.
- A minimum of 10 or more years of increasingly responsible and relevant professional experience in military systems acquisitions, contracts and/or compliance is required.
- Background in and understanding of military systems strategy and/or policy
- Applicants must perform well both independently and as a team member, effectively coordinate multiple diverse activities, possess excellent teaching and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate superior oral and written communications abilities.
- This position requires a current and active or be eligible to reapply for a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

- Advanced degree in hard science is preferred.
- More than 10 years practical experience in developing, implementing, evaluating, and refining compliance and training programs and must be able to tailor innovative and responsive applications of these capabilities to specific order requirements.
- Previous experience working with the U.S. government is strongly preferred.
- Current and active TS/SCI clearance
