Responsibilities
- Works in Department of War (DoW) COMSEC office alongside the COMSEC Manager to support DoW users with COMSEC material.
- Operates the Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS) and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI)/Management Client (MGC) for the DoW organization.
- Assists the COMSEC Manager to ensure processes meet national policy and procedures by issuing, inventorying, and taking accountability of cryptographic equipment and keying material.
- Assists DoW and Local Elements (LE) by responding to COMSEC queries, requests for assistance, and providing subject matter expertise.
- Conducts reviews of DoW COMSEC Standard operating procedures in accordance with DoD, National Security Agency, and federal standards.
- Operates the KMI for the DoW organization and conducts inventories and accountability of DoW COMSEC material and provides support for other KMI Operating Account's (KOA) and LEs as needed.
- Provides COMSEC training for personnel assigned to the DoW and LE users prior to a user gaining access to COMSEC material and maintains training records for all completed training.
- Assists the COMSEC Manager with conducting inventories to ensure semi-annual inventory, reports, and COMSEC Emergency Action Plans adhere to National Security Agency (NSA) criteria.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the COMSEC discipline.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Course completion.
- Current COMPTIA Security +CE (or higher) certification
- Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Security and National Security Agency (NSA) Programs and skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements in the COMSEC disciplines.
- Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in or with Department of Defense/Department of War organizations.
- IAEC-2112 Certification from National Security Agency (NSA).
