Applied Research Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Analysis Analyst to support Kirtland AFB in New Mexico. The candidate will need competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis. The candidate should have sufficient knowledge of applied mathematics to understand and us the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research methods of analysis. The Operational Analysis Analyst will formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. The candidate may collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, services, or products.
The Operational Analysis Analyst may develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review or implementation. Additional duties will include developing, managing, and executing processes for assessing the WS ability to execute assigned missions.
Please note, this is a mid-level position with an expected annual salary range of $85k - $95k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.

- Developing, managing, and executing processes for assessing the WS ability to execute assigned missions.
- Implementing OR techniques for consistent, predictive analysis of data to better inform WS WMA processes.
- Utilizing and/or tailoring operational assessments and exercise data for implementation into the WS WMA process.
- Analyzing, modeling, verifying, assessing and certifying WS NC3 requirements.
- Aggregating and documenting the results of WWA for presentation to AFNWC/NC leadership for situational awareness and to support decision-making.
- Supporting WS lead Command, and program offices as directed.
- Constituent system(s) (CSs) on assigned platform(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- BA/BS
- Clearance requirement (TS/SCI)
- Analytical or scientific software - IBM Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) Statistics, Minitab, SAS, The MathWorks MATLAB
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software - Netsuite ERP, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One, Oracle PeopleSoft
- Object or component-oriented development software - practical extraction and reporting language Perl, R, Scala, Swift
- Operating system software - Bash, Oracle Solaris, Shell script, UNIX Shell
- Word processing software - Google Docs, Microsoft Word
